Ingredients:
  • 1 kg lamb leg, minced
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 cup flat leaf parsley
  • 1 red capsicum
  • 2 slices white bread
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp lebanese baharat
  • burger buns
  • lettuce leaves
  • burger cheese
  • tomato
  • pickles
  • preferred sauce
Directions:
  1. In a food processor, start by processing the two pieces of white bread until you have a fine crumb. Remove and set aside
  2. Now add onion, capsicum and parsley leaves. Process until almost paste like. Tip out this blend into a sieve and strain off any excess liquid
  3. In a large bowl, add lamb mince, crumbed bread, the capsicum blend, salt, pepper & baharat
  4. Using your hands, mix all these ingredients until everything is well combined
  5. Measure out balls of meat mixture to 150g each and mould each into a flat round patty shape
  6. When ready to cook, preheat your bbq to medium and cook each patty for approximately 4 minutes on either side. You can of course do this on the stove in a frypan or griddle
  7. Serve warm in a toasted burger bun with all your favourite burger fillings
