Bistro Veal Burgers

This bistro veal burger recipe uses veal for tender, non-greasy burgers that taste like they're from a bistro! You will be amazed at how easy and tasty they are; perfect for a special cookout.

Ingredients:
  • 1 slice bread, torn into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pound ground veal
  • 4 (1 ounce) slices cheddar or pepper jack cheese (optional)
  • 4 hamburger buns, split
Directions:
  1. Place torn bread into a bowl; sprinkle with milk and Worcestershire sauce. Mix in egg until combined; season with basil, rosemary, and black pepper. Add veal; mix until evenly combined. Divide and shape into four patties.
  2. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium and lightly oil the grate.
  3. Cook on the preheated grill until desired doneness, about 5 minutes per side for medium. Place 1 slice cheese on each burger; cook until melted, about 1 minute. Serve on buns.
