Homemade gluten-free croutons add a crunchy layer to salads and soups and are surprisingly easy to make. Grab your favorite supermarket gluten-free bread, toss with oil and some common pantry spices, then air fry until golden and crisp.

Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces gluten-free bread (thawed if frozen), cut into 3/4-inch cubes (about 5 cups)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon rubbed sage, optional
Directions:
  1. Toss the bread, oil, oregano, garlic, 3/4 teaspoon salt, several grinds of pepper and sage if using in a large bowl to coat evenly.
  2. Preheat a 6-quart air fryer to 350 degrees F (see Cook's Note). Add the bread in an even layer to the air fryer and cook, tossing halfway through, until golden brown and toasted, 5 to 7 minutes.
